Six Nations: Round 5 Betting Tips

It's Super Saturday this weekend with the final round of the 2025 Six Nations and there is still much to play for.

The title is still to be decided, with three nations still in the running, while the wooden spoon is aiming to be avoided by Italy and Wales.

France are in the driving seat to be crowned champions ahead of their home clash against Scotland, as they sit top of the table on 16 points - one point ahead of England, who head to the Millennium Stadium to face Wales.

Ireland, who are in Rome for the first game of the day, occupy third place - two points adrift of the French - and the Irish need a lot to go their way if they want to successfully retain their crown.

Tip 1 - Italy v Ireland - Jack Conan anytime tryscorer @ SP

Ireland need to defeat Italy, preferably with a bonus point, in order to keep alive their hopes of a third consecutive Six Nations title alive and put some pressure on both England and France.

Interim head coach Simon Easterby has made six alterations to his starting XV, recalling Jack Crowley at fly-half and bringing back fit-again wingers James Lowe and Mack Hansen, along with centre Garry Ringrose.

In the forwards, James Ryan and Jack Conan return, and this strong Ireland side should have too much for an Italian outfit that competed well in defeat to England last week, until running out of steam in the second half.

Italy have struggled to contain the power of their opponents in this tournament and the best bet here looks to be backing the returning Conan, who starts at blindside flanker, to cross the whitewash.

The 32-year-old has scored tries in his last three appearances for Ireland and he also touched down against the Azzurri in the 2024 Six Nations meeting at the Aviva Stadium.

Tip 2 - Wales v England - England to win by 13+ points @ 26/25

Like Ireland, England will be looking for a bonus-point win over Wales, and that should make for an open game at the Millennium Stadium, something that hasn't been seen in the last five meetings between the pair.

The Welsh have improved over their last two matches, but they have still lost their last 16 internationals and they will find it difficult to stop that from becoming 17, despite being on home soil.

The Red Rose have showcased plenty of power up front, and the forwards can set up solid scoring opportunities for the backs, with the likes of Marcus Smith, Elliot Daly and Tom Roebuck all looking to strike.

England should have the edge in this one, and their greater strength in depth can tell as the game goes on, with a win by 13+ points a solid option.

Tip 3 - France v Scotland - France to win by 1-12 points @ 12/5

Don't expect Scotland to hold back when they head to the Stade de France to face a France side that will be without scrum-half and talisman Antoine Dupont due to injury.

Dupont makes this French team tick, with his quick plays from the ruck, superb vision and quick feet often setting up scoring chances, and his absence could see the hosts adopt a more forward-heavy approach.

Scotland certainly thinks this will be the case with a 6-2 forwards/backs split on the bench and the winner of this contest could be whoever wins the battle up front.

While the Scots have plenty of strength themselves, they could come up just short here, but they should make a game of things and be close come the final whistle.
