NFL - Matchday 16 Tips & Predictions
Week 15 in the 2024 NFL season produced more drama and excitement as some teams booked their playoff spots while others saw their chances of playing in the postseason end.
Like last weekend, every team will be in action in Week 16 and we have picked out our three best bets for the upcoming action.
Tip 1: Under 44.5 points in Pittsburgh Steelers at Baltimore Ravens @ 23/25
Two AFC North rivals meet at the M&T Bank Stadium on Saturday and both the Pittsburgh Steelers and Baltimore Ravens are still in contention to win the division.
The Steelers have already secured their spot in the playoffs, but they will need to beat the Ravens to maintain their title chances.
Pittsburgh's 10-4 record is impressive, but the Ravens are hot on their heels at 9-5, with the Steelers having already beaten Baltimore this season, winning 18-16 in Week 11.
Steelers coach Mike Tomlin knows what it takes to give Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson problems, with Baltimore averaging 13.8 points per game against Pittsburgh in their last eight meetings.
Tip 2: Detroit Lions -6.5 vs Chicago Bears @ 10/11
Detroit Lions lost their first game since Week 2 when they fell to a 42-48 defeat against the Buffalo Bills on Sunday.
Many viewed Sunday's game as a possible Super Bowl matchup and fans will be in for a treat if that's the case.
Detroit still have work to do if they are to win the NFC North, so they will not be taking their foot off the gas against the Chicago Bears.
Lions coach Dan Campbell lost another three players on defence to injury, with Alim McNeill, Khalil Dorsey and Carlton Davis III all picking up fresh injuries against the Bills.
However, the Bears have lost eight in a row and should offer little resistance against Detroit.
Tip 3: Los Angeles Rams -3.5 vs New York Jets @ 19/20
The New York Jets finally held on in the fourth quarter to win 32-25 against the Jacksonville Jaguars, with Aaron Rodgers and Davante Adams rolling back the years.
While Rodgers looked as fit as he had all season, he was playing against one of the worst teams in the NFL.
The Los Angeles Rams are top of the NFC West, but they are tied on 8-6 with rivals the Seattle Seahawks.
Sean McVay's men have won seven of their nine games since their Bye in Week 6 and they have the offence needed to trouble the Jets.
Rodgers will not have it his own way against the Rams' defence and the Jets are likely to fall short at home once again this season.
