It is the final Flat meeting of the year at Sandown on Wednesday with Breeders Day. Back in 2021, Sandown racecourse and the Thoroughbred Breeders’ Association combined to bring together Breeders Day for the first time and since then, the race day has become one of the top fixtures of the Horse Racing calendar at Sandown Park racecourse.
In 2024, the racing takes place on Wednesday 18th September under the moniker of Afternoon racing. There are seven races over the course of the day. The feature race is the Fortune Stakes, a Listed contest over 1m that has again attracted a strong field.
