Park Betting Tips – Wednesday Kempton Racing Betting Tips

All-weather racing comes from Kempton Park on Wednesday with a seven-race card on the Polytrack surface.

The action runs from 5.00pm-8.00pm and the going is described as ‘Standard to Slow’.

Here is a look at each of those seven races.

5.00pm – Unibet Horserace Betting Operator Of The Year Restricted Maiden Stakes (5f)

JUST A SPARK has gone close to breaking her maiden on her last two appearances on the track, finishing second on both occasions.

Rod Millman’s filly is now dropping down to the minimum trip, and she looks to be the one they all must beat in the opener.

Selection: Just A Spark (3/2)

5.30pm – Unibet Support Safe Gambling Handicap (7f)

MISTER X ended 2022 with back-to-back victories at Wolverhampton. He has had two goes off this mark of 67 in the new calendar year, and although he has not added to his tally of wins, he has not fared badly.

Luke Catton was the last jockey to ride him to success, and the 5lb claimer is back on board here, which is a big plus towards his chances.

Selection: Mister X - 5/1

6.00pm – Unibet Support Safe Gambling Restricted Novice Stakes (1m)

Daughter of Olympic Spirit, GOLDKIT, makes the second appearance of her career in this novice race over 1m and finished second of 13 runners over this C&D earlier this year.

The three-year-old filly showed a good attitude in that race and with a step forward here, she can take advantage of the weights against those with a penalty on their backs.

Selection: Goldkit - 6/4

6.30pm – Try Our New Price Boosts At Unibet Fillies’ Handicap (1m)

Lightly raced filly LIGHTSHIP broke her maiden at the fourth attempt when she scored over this C&D earlier this month.

Daniel Muscott was able to ease his runner up in the closing stages, which indicates there is more to come and she can defy her 5lb rise in the ratings.

Selection: Lightship - 11/8

7.00pm – Unibet Extra Place Offers Every Day Fillies’ Handicap (1m3f)

D DAY ODETTE scored by less than a length at Lingfield (1m2f) on his latest appearance, but it was much cosier than that distance suggests.

Kevin Philippart De Foy’s filly has gone up 4lb for the win, and that seems very fair from the handicapper.

It keeps her off a workable mark and one she can successfully follow up off.

Selection: D Day Odette - 9/4

7.30pm – Unibet 3 Uniboosts A Day Handicap (2m)

ACED IT scored over this C&D on his penultimate outing, her first attempt at this 2m distance, and he showed he had the stamina for the trip.

He was a little unlucky last time out at Kempton (2m) as he was short for room on a couple of occasions in that race.

This is a weaker assignment, so if he reproduces what he has shown on his two attempts at this distance, he will take some beating.

Selection: Aced It - 9/2

8.00pm – Join Racing TV Now Classified Stakes (1m4f)

On his first start in four months, MEISTERZINGER scored at this course over 1m3f on January 19.

He finished that race very strongly, which suggests here will appreciate this stiffer test.

The five-year-old is the highest-rated horse in the field and he has Daniel Muscott booked for the ride in the finale of the card.

Selection: Meisterzinger - 5/2

About The King George VI Chase

One of the biggest races in the National Hunt season and often a telling point of who will head to the 2023 Cheltenham Festival and feature in the main event The Cheltenham Gold Cup.

Contested over a distance of three miles, the King George itself takes in 18 fences of the Kempton course and is open to horses aged four years and older. First run in 1937, it has been won on five occasions by Kauto Star and 12 occasions by trainer Paul Nicholls. However, in more recent years, it's been Frodon, Clan Des Obeaux and Might Bite, who have gone on to win and feature at Cheltenham, with other prestigious horses such as Long Run, Best Mate and Silviniaco Conti also boasting victories in this race.
