Premier League 1st Weekend Fixtures

The fixtures for the opening weekend of the Premier League season have been announced and there are some fantastic fixtures so early in the campaign!

Newly promoted Ipswich Town host Liverpool in Saturday's early kick-off while Manchester United kick off the campaign with a home game against Fulham.

Champions Manchester City have a difficult start to the campaign as they travel to Stamford Bridge to take on Chelsea on Super Sunday.

Arsenal, who were runners-up to Manchester City last season host Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday, the Gunners have won six games in a row against their Midlands opposition.

Meanwhile, the other newly promoted sides also have strong opening fixtures with Southampton travelling to St James' Park to take on Newcastle United as Leicester City host Tottenham Hotspur.

Arsenal are set to take on Wolverhampton Wanderers on Saturday 17th August at 3PM.

Liverpool travel to Ipswich Town on the opening day of the Premier League season for early kick-off on Saturday.

  • Ipswich's last Premier League game was a 5-0 defeat at Anfield against Liverpool.
  • Liverpool have never lost a Premier League game at Portman Road against Ipswich Town, winning 6-0 on their last visit.
  • Ipswich Town are unbeaten in opening league matches in each of the last 10 seasons.
