Premier League Matchday 33 Betting Tips
There is another crucial round of Premier League fixtures this weekend with battles affecting both ends of the table.
Title-chasing Man City host relegation-threatened Luton on Saturday, while fellow championship contenders Arsenal face Aston Villa on Sunday and Liverpool welcome Crystal Palace to Anfield.
Top-four contenders Tottenham travel to Newcastle in Saturday’s lunchtime kickoff and Man Utd head to the south coast to take on Bournemouth.
Tip 1 [Newcastle to beat Tottenham @ 33/2](https://www.betuk.com/betting/football/england-premier-league#event/1019734380
Champions League chasing Tottenham head to St James’ Park to face Newcastle on Saturday and it has the makings of a tricky contest for Spurs.
Ange Postecoglou’s men beat Nottingham Forest 3-1 in north London last time out, but Spurs conceded 13 shots to Forest in that contest and the expected goals measure had the game at 1.55 v 1.55.
Prior to that fortunate victory, Spurs had failed to beat West Ham, needed a late winner to down Luton 2-1 and were thumped 3-0 at Fulham.
It’s just two wins in nine away Premier League matches for Tottenham and, while Newcastle won’t be repeating this season’s appearance in Europe’s top competition next term, it’s hard to see how the Magpies aren’t favourites to win this game.
Eddie Howe’s men have lost only three of their 16 top-flight matches at St James’ Park this season, they have hit 39 goals on their own patch and look capable of denting Tottenham’s Champions League dreams.
Tip 2 Arsenal v Aston Villa over 3.5 goals @ 11/10
Arsenal were involved in a thrilling 2-2 draw with Bayern Munich on Tuesday night and the Gunners made a pair of uncharacteristic defensive errors.
Attention turns to the Premier League title race for the Gunners and Mikel Aretea will be hoping to keep the pressure on Liverpool and Man City.
The visit of Aston Villa would ordinarily rate a tricky tie for Arsenal, but Villa were in Europa Conference League action on Thursday night and, with Tyrone Mings, Boubacar Kamara, Emi Buendia, Matty Cash and Jacob Ramsey all out injured, there is little scope for Unai Emery to freshen up his side.
The Villans have looked a little jaded in recent weeks, winning only one of their last five Premier League matches and Emery’s men have shipped seven goals in their last two top-flight games.
Take over 3.5 goals at the Emirates.
Tip 3 Brentford v Sheffield United over 3.5 goals @ 6/5
Sheffield United’s hopes of avoiding a return to the Championship are all but over, but the Blades aren’t going down with a whimper.
Chris Wilder’s men have scored eight goals in their last four games and picked up points against Chelsea, Fulham and Bournemouth.
The Blades’ last 15 matches are averaging 4.26 goals per game and another high-scoring contest could be on the cards at Brentford.
Tip 4 Fulham to beat West Ham @ 37/20
Fulham played pretty well, but were beaten 1-0 by Newcastle at Craven Cottage last weekend and Sunday’s contest with West Ham looks to come at a good time for Marco Silva’s men to get back to winning ways.
The Hammers were in Leverkusen on Thursday night and that gruelling contest could have left its mark on an Irons side who have won only three of their last 13 Premier League matches.
