Premier League: Matchday 32 Tips & Predictions
It’s Matchday 32 of the Premier League season as the campaign begins to draw towards a close.
Liverpool look to have the title wrapped up, while Ipswich, Leicester and Southampton are heading back to the Championship. However, there is still plenty to play for with European places up for grabs and teams keen to finish the season on a positive note.
Manchester City host Crystal Palace in Saturday’s early kick-off, while a buoyant Arsenal side take on Brentford in the evening contest.
Newcastle and Manchester United meet in Sunday’s highlight and we have four selections across the weekend.
Nottingham Forest to beat Everton @ 21/20
Nottingham Forest will have been delighted to learn that the Premier League will be awarded five places in next season’s Champions League, but the Tricky Trees may not even need that extra layer of comfort.
Nuno Espirito Santo’s side have enjoyed a fantastic season, Forest are unbeaten in their last 11 matches at the City Ground, and they should see off Everton.
The Toffees have improved under David Moyes, but they put a lot into recent matches against Liverpool and Arsenal and they may fall short at Forest as the hosts seek to rebound from defeat at Aston Villa last time.
West Ham or draw double chance v Liverpool @ 5/2
Liverpool have enough of a lead to hold off Arsenal at the top of the Premier League, but the Reds have hardly been in blistering form.
Arne Slot’s men were dumped out of the Champions League by PSG last month, and an EFL Cup final defeat to Newcastle followed.
Liverpool were fortunate to beat Everton 1-0 in the Merseyside derby and the Reds were beaten 3-2 by Fulham last time out.
West Ham may need a peak performance to avoid defeat at Anfield, but the Hammers have beaten Arsenal, Manchester United and Newcastle this season and they look overpriced on the double chance market.
Ipswich or draw double chance v Chelsea @ 12/5
Defeat to Wolves last time out has left Ipswich staring at relegation, but the Suffolk side may find some comfort on their trip to Stamford Bridge.
Chelsea are one of the few sides which Kieran McKenna’s men have managed to beat this season and Ipswich may repeat their 2-0 Portman Road success.
Of course, the Blues have the edge in terms of quality, but Chelsea have won only five of their last 15 Premier League games and they look an awful price on Sunday.
Manchester United to beat Newcastle @ 4/1
Manchester United rate the best bet of the weekend when they head for Newcastle on Sunday.
Clearly, it’s been a miserable season for the Red Devils, while Newcastle have enjoyed considerable success. However, United have lost only one of their last six league games and Ruben Amorim’s men performed pretty well in a 0-0 draw with Manchester last weekend.
At 4/1 United look capable of causing an upset at St James’ Park.
