June 14th: Germany Vs Scotland Bet Builder

Euro 2024 gets underway on Friday night as hosts Germany entertain Scotland in Munich.

Julian Nagelsmann's side will hope to go under the radar this summer, with the likes of England and France considered to have a better chance of lifting the Euro 2024 trophy.

The hosts have been paired with Scotland, Hungary and Switzerland in Group A and it will be up to Steve Clarke's side to try and spoil the party on Friday evening.

As Friday's encounter is the opening night of the tournament, there is only one match on the cards, but we have put together a bet builder for what should be an entertaining affair.

Euro 2024: Friday 14th June - Bet Builder @ 19/5

  • Germany to win
  • Under 3.5 goals
  • Kai Havertz to score anytime

Germany Vs Scotland - Tip 1: Germany to win - 1/4

Nagelsmann's team will look to prove a point over the next month as they try to help Germany move on from some recent poor results in major tournaments.

DFB-Team have been eliminated from the last two World Cups in the group stages, while they only reached the last-16 of Euro 2020.

As hosts Germany have not had to qualify, which some could see as a disadvantage, but they have impressed in their recent friendlies.

They beat France 2-0 in March, before then defeating the Netherlands 2-1 in the same month, in what was a real statement of intent from Naglesmann's side.

They have since drawn 0-0 with Ukraine and beaten Greece 2-1, while Scotland's recent form has been a real worry for Clarke.

Scotland finished second in qualifying, but they have only won one of their previous nine in all competitions and that success came against Gibraltar this month.

The Scots lost striker Lyndon Dykes to injury earlier this month and that is far from ideal, as he was their main option throughout qualifying.

Germany Vs Scotland Tip 2: Under 3.5 goals - 21/50

Without Dykes, the responsibility of scoring falls on Che Adams' shoulders for Scotland, but the Southampton man failed to score in qualifying.

Midfielder Scott McTominay scored an impressive seven times for his country, but it will be a tough ask for him to repeat that form against Nagelsmann's side.

Germany's last four matches have produced only eight goals, so it is unlikely that they blow Scotland away, having not scored more than two goals in a game since October.

Germany Vs Scotland Tip 3: Kai Havertz to score anytime - 29/20

Nagelsmann has confirmed that Arsenal striker Kai Havertz will lead the line for Germany this summer and he will enter the tournament in great form.

He has scored five goals in his last seven appearances for both club and country and he should be able to exploit Scotland's porous defence.

Havertz has three goals in six international games and, with Florian Wirtz, Ilkay Gundogan and Jamal Musiala providing the passes behind him, Havertz could rack up the goals.
