Euro 2024 Final Betting Tips & Predictions
England are on the brink of Euro 2024 glory and the Three Lions head to Berlin to take on Spain in Sunday’s final.
Ollie Watkins scored a dramatic late winner to down the Netherlands in Wednesday's semi-final, while La Roja benefited from an inspired Lamine Yamal performance as they moved into the Berlin showdown.
We have a bet builder ready with England on the verge of a first major trophy since 1966.
Spain v England
England enjoyed a kind run to the semi-finals of Euro 2024, but they faced an in-form and high-level Netherlands side in Wednesday night’s last-four showdown and the Three Lions produced their best performance of the tournament.
Gareth Southgate’s men may have enjoyed a little good fortune with a questionable penalty award, but England showed great resilience and mental strength to come back from a goal down and it is worth remembering that Bukayo Saka had his second-half strike ruled out.
The Three Lions certainly carried more threat going forward in Dortmund with Saka and Phil Foden taking the game to the Netherlands and England were undoubtedly the better side.
Spain played some excellent football in their semi-final against France, but La Roja lost the shot count and were second best to Les Bleus on expected goals. Luis de la Fuente’s men were clinging on in the second-half of that 2-1 victory.
Whatever the result in Sunday’s final, England look capable of exposing the Spanish defence and backing the Three Lions to score over 0.5 goals can provide the first selection in a three-leg bet builder.
Foden has attracted some criticism for his performances in Germany, but the Man City man was a constant threat against the Netherlands and the 24-year-old registered two shots on target in the semi-final.
The Man City forward also hit the woodwork in that last-four showdown and a similar performance should see Foden make Spain keeper Unai Simon work on Sunday.
Complete the bet builder by backing Alvaro Morata to be carded.
The Atletico Madrid star is best known as a goalscorer, but Morata has been used as a foil for Spain’s creative wide players and the 31-year-old’s physical presence has proved more useful than his goalscoring threat.
The Atletico man has already been shown two yellow cards in the tournament, with his hold-up play attracting the attention of the officials, and it would be no surprise if the Spanish forward was in trouble again faced with a committed England side.
