Euro 2024 Daily Accumulator: 22/06/2024

Round two of the Euro 2024 group stages comes to an end on Saturday as we are treated to another trio of matches.

First up, our focus shifts to Group F as Georgia and Czech Republic, who both lost their opening fixtures, face off in Hamburg.

Following that game, the other two teams in the group, Turkey and Portugal, will lock horns in Dortmund with qualification within touching distance for both.

Finally, Group E’s final matchday two fixture takes us to Cologne as Belgium look to bounce back from a shock defeat when they face Romania.

We have picked out a tip for each game to make up this 19/4 accumulator!

Tip 1: Both teams to score in Georgia vs Czech Republic @ 5/6

Georgia’s 3-1 defeat to Turkey was one of the games of the tournament so far as both teams pushed for a victory and we can expect more entertainment when the European Championship debutants are in action again on Saturday.

Willy Sagnol’s side came close to equalising against Turkey three times and have scored in nine of their last 10 games, which includes a couple of meetings with European heavyweights Spain.

Czech Republic have conceded in their last five, but they have scored in each of their previous eight outings and can punish a Georgian back line that was exposed on a number of occasions against Turkey.

Both nations are in desperate need of a result if they are to keep their dreams of qualifying from Group F alive, so back an entertaining affair.

Tip 2: Portugal to win vs Turkey @ 11/20

Portugal needed an injury-time winner to kickstart their Euro 2024 campaign against Czech Republic and Roberto Martinez’s side should cement top spot with a win over Turkey.

That late winner made it 11 competitive victories on the spin for the Selecao, with them winning these games by an aggregate scoreline of 38-3 and keeping nine clean sheets.

Turkey were admittedly impressive at times in their opener, but Portugal are more than a couple of levels above Georgia and Vincenzo Montella’s side have not had the best of preparations for this tournament.

They have won just four of nine games since Montella took charge last September and have lost three of the four friendly matches they have played in 2024, including a 6-1 drubbing against Austria.

Portugal have won seven of their last eight meetings with Turkey and can bag another three points in Dortmund.

Tip 3: Romelu Lukaku to score anytime in Belgium vs Romania @ Evens

Belgium were the victims of a major shock as Slovakia beat them in their opener, but the Red Devils were dominant throughout and could have won comfortably on a different day.

All-time leading goalscorer Romelu Lukaku had the ball in the back of the net twice before VAR interventions, and the Roma man can expect to find his scoring touch against Romania.

He had three shots against Slovakia, two of which were on target, while he can also look back on an excellent build up to this tournament for inspiration.

Lukaku was top scorer in Euro 2024 qualifying, notching 14 times in eight games, and followed that up with a brace in their final warm-up friendly earlier this month, so he looks a good choice to kickstart Belgium’s campaign.
