Tips & Predictions
Euro 2024 Daily Accumulator: 21/06/2024
There are three crucial Euro 2024 fixtures on Friday as the group stage starts to take shape. The Netherlands take on France, in what should be a high-quality contest, while Group D rivals Poland and Austria go head-to-head.
Ukraine will be looking to recover from a 3-0 hammering by Romania, but the opponents Slovakia will be buoyant after pulling off a shock victory against Belgium.
We have a selection in each of Friday’s three matches to form a treble, which pays out at 19/4.
Tip 1: Slovakia vs Ukraine - Slovakia/draw double chance @ 4/6
Ukraine got their Euro 2024 campaign off to an awful start with a 3-0 defeat against Romania, while Slovakia enjoyed a fantastic victory over Belgium.
Of course, the Falcons had their fair share of good fortune in that opening Group E contest, with the Red Devils having two goals ruled out, but this contest looks to set up well for Francesco Calzona’s men.
Ukraine will be forced to chase a positive result in Dusseldorf and the Blue and Yellow were easily picked off by a well-drilled Romania side.
There is quality in Serhiy Rebrov’s squad, but it’s unpredictable and inconsistent talent and it’s not difficult to see Ukraine coming up short against a Slovakia side full of confidence.
Tip 2: Poland vs Austria - Austria @ Evs
Poland and Austria both played with credit in opening-game defeats, with the Eagles losing 2-1 to the Netherlands and Austria going down 1-0 against France.
Das Team grew into the contest as the game progressed and Ralf Rangnick’s men went pretty close to grabbing a draw from the clash with Les Blues.
Poland took the lead against the Netherlands, before the Dutch fired back to win 2-1 and the Eagles could come up short again in Berlin.
Austria are a well-coached side under Rangnick and Das Team’s potential was there for all to see against a top-level France side.
Expect Austria to blitz Poland and pick up a much-needed victory.
Tip 3: Netherlands v France - both teams to score @ 7/10
France looked extremely dangerous going forward against Austria and Les Bleus created an expected goals tally of 2.13 in their opening Euro 2024 contest. However, there were signs of vulnerability at the back, with N'Golo Kante sniffing out much of the danger, but France did give up two big chances to Das Team.
The Netherlands hit 21 shots on goal against Poland in their first game of the tournament and Oranje are a forward-thinking and attack-minded side.
Taking both teams to score looks like the play in what should be a high-class encounter.
