UEFA Champions League Round of 16 Tips
The first legs of the Champions League last 16 ties take place across Tuesday and Wednesday and there are three Premier League teams involved.
Aston Villa head to Club Brugge and Arsenal make the trip to PSV on Tuesday, then on Wednesday Liverpool are in the French capital for a tough tie against in-form Paris Saint-Germain.
A Madrid derby and a huge all-German clash between Bayern Munich and Bayer Leverkusen are among the other highlights of an intriguing last-16 draw.
Champions League Round of 16 Tip 1 - PSG To Win at 7/5
Liverpool are the clear favourites at 1/2 to qualify for the next round, but PSG look good value at 7/5 to strike first in this tie.
The French champions are on a 10-game winning run and have only lost once at home all season, with 15 wins in 19 home games across all competitions.
Liverpool’s away form has been mixed over the last two months or so, with just three wins in their previous nine trips (D3, L3), so home advantage gives PSG a clear edge.
Champions League Round of 16 Tip 2 - Over 2.5 Goals Club Brugge vs Aston Villa at 19/20
Aston Villa slipped to a 1-0 defeat at Club Brugge during the league phase but Tuesday’s last 16 showdown could be more entertaining.
Brugge has scored in 10 straight games across all competitions but has also conceded in nine of those. Villa have seen over 2.5 goals land in five of their last eight games and in six of their last nine away from home, so both teams could contribute here and combine for at least three goals.
Champions League Round of 16 Tip 3 - PSV Eindhoven to win at 11/4
A lack of attacking options is proving costly to injury-hit Arsenal right now, and the favourites look vulnerable ahead of their trip to PSV on Tuesday.
Admittedly, the Dutch giants have been in poor form themselves but they have beaten both Liverpool and Juventus at home in Europe this season - and they may be able to pull off an upset against a Gunners side, who have gone two games without scoring.
Champions League Round of 16 Tip 4 - Atletico Madrid double chance (win or draw) at 22/25
Real Madrid and city rivals Atletico face off in one of the most evenly matched Champions League last 16 ties.
Atleti are two points above Los Blancos in the La Liga standings, highlighting just how hard these two have been to split this season. The last five meetings between these Spanish giants have finished level after normal time.
Los Colchoneros are on a 10-game unbeaten run, and they’ve not lost a Madrid derby in 90 minutes since 2022, a run stretching eight games, so a double-chance bet on Atleti looks like a strong play.
