Champions League Quarter Final Tips

The first leg of the four Champions League quarter-finals left all of the ties tantalisingly in the balance with two games level and two teams looking to overturn a one-goal deficit in the second matchup.

Arsenal and Manchester City are both in action on Wednesday but there are two blockbuster clashes on Tuesday night to kick off what should be an enthralling week of continental football.

Tip 1 – Kylian Mbappe to score v Barcelona @ 21/20

Barcelona were not fancied heading into the first leg of their last-eight clash with Paris Saint-Germain at the Parc des Princes but the Catalan club managed to secure a 3-2 victory and are aiming to defend that lead.

One of the key difficulties for PSG this season has been the uncertainty surrounding the future of Kylian Mbappe, whose contract is up in the summer and is reportedly set to sign for Real Madrid on a free transfer.

Despite the effect that may have had on the team as a whole, the 25-year-old continues to have a typically impressive season, notching 39 goals in 41 games in all competitions and he can add to that tally on Tuesday.

Tip 2 – Dortmund to beat Atletico Madrid @ 5/4

Atletico secured a 2-1 win over Borussia Dortmund in the first leg of their Champions League quarter-final but Diego Simeone’s men are not the same team on the road and may struggle in the return fixture on Tuesday.

Atleti have lost four of their last six away games in all competitions without scoring and face a Dortmund team that have won four of their last six fixtures on home soil.

Side with BVB to win this one and book their place in the semi-finals.

Tip 3 – Over 3.5 goals in Manchester City v Real Madrid @ 29/20

Manchester City and Real Madrid put on a thriller in Spain last week and another high-scoring affair is fancied when the two face off at the Etihad Stadium on Wednesday.

The 3-3 draw has left the game in the balance and Los Blancos showed that they were a persistent threat to a City team without Kyle Walker, with Vinicius Jr and Rodrygo both dangerous on the counter attack for Madrid.

These two teams have now met five times in the last two years and all but one of those matches has gone over 3.5 goals.

Tip 4 – Arsenal to beat Bayern Munich @ 37/20

Arsenal suffered two disappointing results last week as they fell to a 2-0 loss to Aston Villa in the Premier League on Sunday, following their 2-2 stalemate with Bayern Munich in the first leg of their Champions League tie.

The Gunners had the better of that game at the Emirates, however, and they face a Bayern team that have only won one of their last four outings in all competitions.

Side with Mikel Arteta’s men to bounce back and secure their progression to the semi-finals with a victory inside 90 minutes.

The four fixtures in the Champions League Quarter Finals are the following:

  • Arsenal Vs Bayern Munich
  • Real Madrid Vs Manchester City
  • Paris Saint Germain Vs Barcelona
  • Atletico Madrid Vs Borussia Dortmund

As it stands, the favourites for these are: Arsenal, Manchester City, PSG and Atletico Madrid.

Add Arsenal, Manchester City, PSG & Atletico Madrid to qualify at 11/2

Which would mean the Semi-Finals would be the following.

  • Arsenal Vs Manchester City
  • PSG Vs Atletico Madrid

An all English clash between Arsenal and Manchester City but two surprise Semi-Finalists as PSG make the semi-final despite struggling in the group of death and Atletico Madrid.
