Darts Premier League Night Six Betting Tips & Predictions

It’s a trip to Nottingham for Night Six of the Premier League, and Luke Littler will be looking to follow up last week’s success in Brighton.

It has been a remarkable run for The Nuke, who won the UK Open at the start of the month. That success was followed by a Premier League victory in Brighton, before the 18-year-old picked up a European Tour title when winning the Belgium Open at the weekend.

Littler has won all of his last 14 matches and Luke Humprhies is the man with the unenviable task of trying to stop his rival in the Nottingham quarter-finals.

We have a trio of selections for Thursday’s action.

Michael van Gerwen to win night six @ 6/1 each-way

Luke Littler and Luke Humphries have been the standout performers in this season’s Premier League, and the deadly duo have already moved clear at the top of the standings.

However, the Lukes have been drawn together at the quarter-final stage in Nottingham on Thursday night and only one of the competition's top-two performers can progress to the semi-finals.

That could leave some each-way value in the bottom-half of the Nottingham draw and, at 6/1, Michael van Gerwen looks the play.

Clearly, MVG is no longer at his dominating best, but there have been signs of the old Mighty Mike in bursts this term.

The Dutchman has made four semi-finals in the current campaign and a last-eight tie against Nathan Aspinall should give a good opportunity for Van Gerwen to stage a repeat.

A run to the final would secure place returns and the Green Machine has the peak game to land the Nottingham prize.

Rob Cross to beat Chris Dobey @ 10/13

It has been a disappointing Premier League campaign for Chris Dobey, who hasn’t won a single match in the last four weeks of action and Hollywood may struggle again.

The Bedlington arrowsmith offered little in last week’s Belgium Open, with Dobey exiting the European Tour event with an average of only 89.95 in defeat to Dirk van Duijvenbode and getting thumped in the Premier League each week can’t do much for the 34-year-old’s confidence.

Rob Cross averaged 111.19 and 106.91 in his two Premier League matches in Brighton last week, and Dobey hasn’t shown any signs of reaching that level in this event.

At 10/13, Voltage looks like the best match bet on the Night Six card.

Gerwyn Price -1.5 legs v Stephen Bunting @ 21/20

Stephen Bunting is yet to win a single match in the opening five weeks of Premier League action and, while The Bullet is clearly a better player than that record suggests, the confidence of the Merseyside man looks to have been sapped.

Bunting averaged just 87.68 when losing to Ross Smith in last weekend’s Belgium Open, and that level of performance won’t be enough to get close to Gerwyn Price in Nottingham.

The Iceman has been steadily returning to something like his peak and there was little wrong with the Welshman’s efforts on the European Tour.

The Iceman can be backed to give Bunting a 1.5-leg start and beating in Nottingham.
