Travelling By Car

SSE Hydro Guide: Premier League Darts

How To Get To The SSE Hydro

Travelling By Car

When reaching the SSE Hydro by car, the good news is that it is just off the M8 motorway and there should be ample parking at the venue. You will need to leave the M8 motorway at junction 19 and join on to the westbound Clydesdale Expressway (A814).

There will then be a signpost for SEC East, where you will need to turn left at the upcoming traffic lights and if you wish to access multi-storey parking, take the right lane.

Travelling By Train

There are over 20 direct trains to Glasgow every day from London, while direct trains run from Edinburgh every 15 minutes on a weekday. From Glasgow Central, reaching the SEC is a three-minute train ride to the Exhibition Centre railway station. There are six trains an hour from Glasgow Central and will depart from Platform 17.

Travelling By Bus

The easiest way to reach the venue via bus is to catch the Riversider 100 from George Square in the centre of Glasgow, which would take you directly to the venue. There are two other buses that will take you to within a 2 minute walk of the venue from the Scottish Event Campus, the Stagecoach X19 and McGills 23 service.

Due to its location, there are a number of good options for hotels near the SSE Hydro. For more of a budget option, The Radisson RED Hotel has great reviews and has plenty of top features such as 174 rooms, 3 event and games studios and an excellent rooftop bar.

A bit more pricey is the Dakota Deluxe in Glasgow, which is just 0.9 miles away from the venue. Each room has Sky HD on Smart TVs, as well as a fantastic grill and Champagne Room and cigar terrace.

Glasgow is known as a great party city, therefore it should come as no surprise to see that there are some stellar pubs in the area. The Ben Nevis pub is a great option at only 0.3 miles away from the venue, particularly if you enjoy music and want to try a traditional Scottish whiskey.
