T20 World Cup Final Predictions & Betting Tips
The T20 World Cup final fittingly comes down to the two teams who have won all of their games at the tournament, South Africa and India.
The Proteas have had some tough games along the way, being run close by Nepal and the United States, but they were in dominant form on a tough pitch in their semi-final win over Afghanistan.
They skittled their opponents for just 56 and they chased it comfortably with nine wickets to spare to set up this final clash with India.
The Men in Blue have barely got out of second gear at the tournament, recording dominant wins over Australia and England in their last two games.
Rohit Sharma has made scores of 92 and 57 in their last two matches, while their bowling attack bowled England for 103 last time out.
Tip 1 – Jasprit Bumrah top India wicket taker @ 11/4
India’s bowling attack have been dominant in this tournament and key to that has been the efforts of Jasprit Bumrah.
He has an incredible economy rate of 4.12 runs an over this tournament, while also being the fifth highest wicket-taker with 13. He’s averaging 8.15 and his ability to keep things tight has been key to his success.
The 30-year-old can continue his standout performances at this competition and be India’s top wicket taker once more in this match.
Tip 2 – Virat Kohli under 24.5 runs @ 3/4
Virat Kohli has been the major weak link in the Indian batting line-up throughout this tournament, making just 75 runs from seven innings.
The talismanic figure has gotten out playing attacking shots and cannot seem to regain the form that saw him produce a dominant run in this year’s Indian Premier League.
Kohli has only made more than 24 runs in one of his seven innings at this tournament and he looks unlikely to be able to do so again here.
Take the under on the right-hander’s runs line.
Tip 3 – Heinrich Klaasen top South Africa run scorer @ 5/1
Heinrich Klaasen has not impressed as much as it was been predicted pre-tournament but he could have a crucial say in this final.
The 32-year-old has made vital knocks of 46 against Bangladesh and 36 not out against the United States and has an impressive record against India’s spinners.
He averages 102 at a scoring rate of nine runs per over in T20Is versus the Indian spin trio of Kuldeep Yadav, Axar Patel and Ravindra Jadeja.
He is likely to feature against those bowlers in the middle overs and could be a critical part of any success the Proteas have.
Side with Klaasen to be South Africa’s top run scorer.
