Tyson Fury Vs Oleksandr Usyk Betting Tips & Preview
Heavyweight superstars Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury face off for the second time in a huge festive treat on Saturday night.
The Ukrainian was awarded a split-decision victory over the Gypsy King in Saudi Arabia in May and the duo head back to the Kingdom Arena in Riyadh for another world title showdown.
Usyk is 4/6 to score a repeat victory over the British fighter while Fury is 6/5 to turn the tables on the WBC, WBO and IBO world champ.
We have picked out a couple of best bets for what should be a brilliant night of boxing in the Middle East.
Main Event Tip 1: Oleksandr Usyk to beat Tyson Fury @ 4/6](https://www.betuk.com/betting/boxing/tyson-fury#event/1020917869)
Usyk was awarded a split-decision victory when he took on Fury for the first time in May, but the Ukrainian controlled the fight from the first bell and it was a more comfortable victory than the scorecards suggested.
Fury faces a daunting task if he is to turn the tables on the super southpaw and there are reasons to believe the Brit could struggle to even match his performances levels from the first fight, let alone gain his revenge.
The Gypsy King is a year younger than his 37-year-old opponent but he is now 36 fights into a professional career which started 16 years ago, whereas Usyk has an unblemished 22 victories after entering the paid ranks in 2013.
Fury was involved in a gruelling trilogy of bouts against Deontay Wilder between 2018 and 2021 and the American’s awful efforts following the pair's three fights strongly indicate that those contests have left their mark.
Since taking on Wilder for the third and final time, Fury has gone through the motions against the hopelessly outclassed Dillian Whyte and Derek Chisora, been extremely fortunate to get the better of Francis Ngannou, an MMA star making his boxing debut, and been beaten by Usyk.
The 36-year-old hasn’t exactly lived a dedicated lifestyle outside of the ring and his long career may be starting to catch up with the once brilliant Brit.
Usyk, meanwhile, has beaten three world champions in his last three fights.
Many thought that Anthony Joshua would turn the tables on the Cat when the pair met for the second time in 2022 but AJ was outclassed by the unbeaten Ukrainian and he could once again show why he is the king of the heavyweight division on Saturday.
Main Event Tip 2: Oleksandr Usyk to win by stoppage @14/5](https://www.betuk.com/betting/boxing/tyson-fury#event/1020917869)
Usyk is the biggest puncher in the heavyweight ranks and he is also the most skilled, technically gifted and brilliant boxer in the glamour division.
Having settled for a points win in May, the 37-year-old may be able to stop Fury in his tracks this time around in Riyadh.
The Gypsy King was knocked down by Usyk in May, hit the canvas against Ngannou and was also floored on three occasions during his trio of fights with Wilder, suggesting his punch resistance may be ebbing away.
Usyk Vs Fury Undercard Tips
There is a huge heavyweight showdown for the WBA, WBC and WBO world titles when Oleksandr Usyk and Tyson Fury rematch in Saudi Arabia on Saturday night but, away from the main event, there is also an intriguing undercard.
Johnny Fisher, Moses Itauma and Serhii Bohachuk are all on the bill and we have the best bets for the Kingdom Arena action.
Undercard Tip 1: - Under 4.5 rounds in Johnny Fisher vs Dave Allen @ 22/25
At his peak, Dave Allen (23-6-2, 18 KOs) would be a real handful for Johnny Fisher (12-0, 11 KOs) but there have to be major doubts over the Doncaster fighter.
‘The White Rhino’ retired from the sport in 2020 but the Saudi Arabia riches have proved too much for the 32-year-old to ignore.
Allen has won five of his six bouts since returning to the sport but the five victories have come against extremely low-key opponents and he was stopped in his corner by Frazer Clarke last year.
There are heavy defeats to David Price, Tony Yoka, Luis Ortiz and Dillian Whyte on Allen’s card and, while the 32-year-old is young enough to have more to offer, he has been involved in a series of gruelling bouts.
Allen knows only one way to fight and the come-forward style will make him an easy target for Fisher to hit.
‘The Romford Bull’ is unbeaten in 12 professional contests, and while there is little in the way of meaningful form on the 25-year-old’s record, he has shown that he can hit hard.
The total rounds line has been set at 4.5 on Saturday night and there are a whole host of reasons to think the fight will struggle to go that long.
Undercard Tip 2: - Lee McGregor to beat Isaac Lowe by stoppage @ 29/10
Lee McGregor’s (14-1-1, 11 KOs) progress has been delayed by injury and fight cancellations and the Scot failed when challenging Erik Robles Ayala last year.
However, ‘Lightning’ was mighty impressive winning the EBU European bantamweight title with a first-round stoppage over Karim Guerfi in 2021.
The Edinburgh boxer is a former British and Commonwealth 118lbs king and McGregor looks ready to make a splash in the featherweight division.
Isaac Lowe (22-2-3, 11 KOs) is a committed and spirited fighter but the 30-year-old has been beaten by Nick Ball and Luis Alberto Lopez and failed to get the better of Ryan Walsh, Ryan Doyle and Dennis Ceylan.
‘The Westgate Warrior’ is likely to come up short again. Lowe has been vulnerable to power in the past and taking a punt on a McGregor stoppage victory looks worthy of consideration.
