Ever since Anthony Joshua lost against Andy Ruiz Jr, there has been talk of whether he is past his best, or whether or not he was ever that good to start with? No one can deny that Andy Ruiz deserved to win his first fight against Joshua, but this time around will be the real test. Povetkin showed in his last fight that age hasn’t slowed him down and he is still a powerful fighter. Experience could be the edge in this one, so we expect Povetkin to win a close fight. Regardless of the result, this will be a great fight to get fans excited for Joshua v Ruiz.
Filip Hrgovic v Eric Molina
Filip Hrgovic is looking for his 3rd win in just under 7 months when he faces Eric Molina. Hrgovic faces a man who hasn’t won a high profile fight in a few years. Molina did actually work his way up to a heavyweight title fight against Anthony Joshua back in 2016, but he has struggled for the big stage since then. Despite being 27, Hrgovic has only had 9 pro fights, but has won every one of them. His last win came against Mario Heredia, knocking down the big Mexican with a combo in the 3rd round. Despite the lack of experience, Hrgovic should easily win this fight and establish himself as a late bloomer.
