French Open:
The second major of the year takes place between the 27th of May and the 3rd of June and that is the French Open. Wimbledon:
Less than one month after the French Open finishes, Wimbledon begins. During the Summer, the Tennis season picks up and the Wimbledon tournament, hosted in London, England is one of the top tournaments of any sport around the world. The 2023 competition was deemed as the moment that Carlos Alcaraz stamped his authority on the sport, coming back from losing 1-6 in the first set to beat Novak Djokovic in the fifth set in what many believe to be one of the greatest matches in recent history. Marketa Vondrousova is the current womens champion. Can Carlos Alvarez win back-to-back Wimbledon titles? Check out what the betting odds are for wimbledon in 2024.
US Open:
The final Grand Slam is the US Open, taking place between August 26th and September 2nd in New York City. This tournament is widely regarded as one of the biggest competitions in the world, Carlos Alcaraz won his first major here in 2022 and the event has been a fantastic proving ground for younger talent with Daniil Medvedev and Daominic Thiem winning the competition in the years before the Spaniard. Could we see a surprise winner of the US Open in 2024.
You can bet on Tennis Grand Slams all-year round at BetUK, starting with the Australian Open at Melbourne Park, which is deemed as the first major date in the Tennis calendar all the way through to the US Open that takes place in August. There are also smaller tournaments such as the World Tennis League and the Davis Cup, which is deemed the World Cup of Tennis.
When looking at the best Tennis players, in the modern day,it's hard to look past the big three, Novak Djokovic. However, if youngster Carlos Alcaraz can continue his fantastic form, we will likely see the Spaniard dominate the sport for years to come.
