Next Scotland Manager Odds

Steve Clarke has without a doubt taken Scotland forward. However, after Euro 2024, it is rumoured that Clarke will look to move on, leaving the Scotland next manager odds open once again.

Clarke took over the Scotland job after an embarrassing 3-0 loss that was followed up by an uninspiring 2-0 win over San Marino. Originally, with four defeats in his first four games, it didn't look like things would improve for the Scots but since taking over, Clarke has guided Scotland to two UEFA Nations League promotions and two European Championships after failing to qualify for a major competition for twenty years.

Even English football fans can't deny that Steve Clarke has done a fantastic job with Scotland.

If Clarke stays on after the European Championships, it may be to finish the UEFA Nations League campaign in division A but it looks likely that 2024 will be Steve Clarke's last year as Scotland coach.

Can Scotland end Clarke's reign with success?

Success is different for almost every nation and for Scotland, success could even be winning a game at a major tournament, something they haven't done since 1996. However, if Steve Clarke could win a game at the Euros, Scotland would likely do something that the nation has never managed before, progress to the knockout stages of a major competition.

Scotland face Germany, Switzerland and Hungary at Euro 2024 but may only need to finish third to get out of Group A. A good performance against Germany might not translate into points but could give them a massive boost before Switzerland and Hungary.

If Clarke stays on until the UEFA Nations League ends, he'll also have a tournament against Croatia, Portugal and Poland and if Scotland can survive in that tournament and not end the campaign relegated like England last time out.
