Burnley Betting Odds

Burnley have developed a reputation for being one of the Premier League's yo-yo sides. Their relegations are often followed by promotions back to the top tier of English football. After their most recent relegation, many fans were hopeful that Vincent Kompany would be the man who could guide Burnley back to the top tier of English football. However, Kompany has moved on to Bayern Munich. Meanwhile, the club - who play their games at Turf Moor will certainly have expected more from their first season back in the Premier League under Kompany. However, an improved end to the season has fans hopeful for next season.

Betting on Burnley Matches

Burnley are one of the favourites to come straight back up in 2024/25. In their home games at Turf Moor, you would expect Burnley to be dominant. However, some teams struggle to recoup after relegation, the club have some good, young talented players who could come out on the other side of the season and wish to leave the Lancashire club. The Clarets have a good young squad that we believe would get promoted again at the first time of asking with a large number of players having played in the Championship last time out.

Burnley won the league in 2022/23 and it is worth looking at that campaign to see how they could perform in the Championship in 2024/25.

One of the elements that won Burnley the Championship last time out was their defence, only four teams scored more than one in a game against Burnley, who themselves averaged two goals a game. So, for most matches, under 3.5 goals was guaranteed. If you place a bet on for all 46 matches, you would have won 38 times.

The issue with this is that Burnley may sell players that could bring them valuable points and turn a loss into a win, so when it comes to betting on a single match, we need to see how the transfer window impacts Burnley.

Betting on Burnley transfers

It is unlikely that Burnley will appear in many transfer betting markets due to their departure to the Championship. Premier League status means that we are more likely to see the likes of West Ham United, Brentford and Brighton & Hove Albion in these positions in comparison to Burnley. However, when looking at the options, you may find that Burnley appear for players who are looking to leave top six clubs.

Betting on Burnley in Domestic Cups

Very few people expect Burnley to make it far in Domestic Cup competitions and since their first promotion to the Premier League in 2008/09, they have made it to the quarter-final stage once. This was in 2022/23 where they beat Bournemouth, Ipswich Town and Fleetwood Town before losing 6-0 to Manchester City.

Last time out, they beat Nottingham Forest and Salford City before losing to Everton in the EFL Cup and lost at the first time of asking against Tottenham Hotspur. None of these teams matched the both teams to score bet.
