Floorball Betting Odds
What is Floorball?
Originating in Sweden during the 1970s, Floorball is an indoor team sport played with a team of six, consisting of five outfield players and a goalkeeper on each team. The overall aim of the game is to score more than your opponent by shooting the ball into the opponents net, similar to the game of hockey, except a plastic ball is used instead of a puck and special Floorball sticks are used. The game is incredibly fast paced, meaning that the slightest mistake can end up haunting a team, players must be agile and incredibly skilled to stay in control of the ball at all times.
There are many Floorball leagues and tournaments around the world due to the increasing popularity of the game, some of the top tournaments in the world include the Floorball World Championship and the Champions Cup which include a number of countries in Europe and outside the Nordic region, such as Switzerland, Czech Republic, Germany and more. However, it isn't just Europe where the sport of Floorball is becoming popular, Floorball bets can be placed across the world with countries such as Singapore, Australia, Japan and the USA seeing a major rise in Floorball players in recent years, all countries are governed by the International Floorball Federation.
Floorball Betting Markets
Floorball is a sport where you'll be surprised at the number of betting markets available for big tournaments such as the World Championships. These markets have a lot in common with the likes of football betting and other team sports where the aim is to score a goal.
Match Result: The most common betting market across every sport is the winner of an event, whether this is a race, match or tournament, outright winner bets are very popular around the world. In this case, players can bet on either side to win the game or a draw in situations where a draw is possible.
Handicap Betting: One betting market that can shake up the landscape of online betting is the asian handicap bet, this is where the live game will start as normal but on your sportsbook, an advantage or disadvantage will be given to either side. If you're backing the heavy favourite team to win by a large scoreline, you may apply a handicap of -1.5 goals, which means that they have to win by two or more goals for your bet to be victorious. When looking at the Floorball odds, this is often where you'll find the best value for money odds.
Total Goals: Looking at the total number of goals that could be score in a match? There are a wide range of options, you can bet on the total number of goals in the game, by a single team and whether or not the total will be over or under a set number.
Correct Score: One of the toughest bets in sports betting to get correct but betting odds are almost always higher for these bets. This is the wager of predicting the exact final score in a game of Floorball, so if you bet on a team to win 5-0 and the other team scores first, your bet has immediately lost.
Time Period Betting: Watching a game live and making your own Floorball predictions? If you can read the game well, you might want to look at betting over a specific time period, a good example of this is the half time betting markets where you can predict what will happen by half time rather than in the full game.
Individual Player Bets: There are a large number of bets that can be placed for individual players in sports. However, Floorball bets are currently more restricting with only the option for goalscorers available.
