Grand Slam of Darts Betting
Whether it's watching live, on television or even playing in a local establishment, Darts is a massively popular sport. One of the most popular competitions in the sport is the fantastic Grand Slam of Darts, organised by the Professional Darts Corporation, otherwise known as the PDC, The Grand Slam of Darts is one of the most prestigious events in the sport and the darts betting markets available are some of the best available for the sport, particularly with some outsiders winning the tournament in recent years.
Luke Humphries is the reigning champion and won the event for the first time in 2023, beating Rob Cross in the final 16-8 in a dominant performance. However, it was his 4th attempt at winning the event but many would have expected Humphries to win on the big stage here, which is why he started the event with low darts betting odds in November 2023.
Grand Slam of Darts Betting Odds
As it stands, 23 names have qualified for the Grand Slam of Darts, there are a number of names that you would expect such as Michael Van Gerwen and Gerwyn Price but there are a number of names that will be entering the Grand Slam of Darts for the first time. Such as Luke Littler and Keane Barry.
However, a lot of eyes are on the youngster Josh Rock, who qualified for this competition by winning the Dutch Darts Championship and the youngster hit his first nine-darter against Michael Van Gerwen in his second round defeat in 2022. Rock averaged 103.93 during that game, an average only bested twice during the knockout rounds of the tournament, firstly by Michael Smith in the semi-final and secondly by Michael Van Gerwen - against Josh Rock.
Rock should be high odds to win the tournament as an outsider but if you're looking to back some outside of the favourites in the Grand Slam of Darts betting markets, he might be the best route.

Who is the Grand Slam of Darts Best Performer
If you're looking at who could be the best players to bet on for the Grand Slam of Darts, this is the player who has the best good record at the tournament.
Gerwyn Price: 8 Appearances, 3 wins, 3 finals.
Gerwyn Price is very much a form player, if you catch him at his best, he'll win a tournament, if you catch him on a bad day, he won't qualify for a tournament. This does make Gerwyn Price an excellent choice for live betting as you can often tell early on how Price is going to play for the rest of the game. The crowd gets in his head a lot less often in the modern day and the mental side of his game is much improved. After a win in the World Cup of Darts and two final appearances in the World Grand Prix and the Premier League of Darts, Price has had a solid year and he could improve on that with his fourth Grand Slam title.
Grand Slam of Darts Worst Performers

Gary Anderson: 16 Appearances, 0 wins, 2 finals
You can count on one hand the number of events that Gary Anderson hasn't won but the Grand Slam of Darts has always eluded the Flying Scotsman. Anderson has made two appearances in the final of the tournament and fallen short on both occasions, the first looked horrific on paper as Anderson, who had an scoring average higher than four winners since in the final, lost 16-4 for Phil Taylor, who had an average of 109.04, the highest average of any Grand Slam of Darts final. In his second final appearance, the doubles just wouldn't go in for Anderson who lost 16-13 to Gerwyn Price.
Anderson has been eliminated at the 2nd round stage on seven occasions and lost out in the semi-finals on four occasions. He hasn't made it beyond the 2nd round since 2019.
Peter Wright: 11 appearances, 0 wins, 3 finals
Peter Wright's darts story is nothing short of historic and he will one day be regarded as a legend of the sport. However, one tournament that has always eluded Peter Wright is the Grand Slam of Darts, between 2017 and 2021, Wright made three finals and lost them all.
His first defeat in 2017 came against Michael Van Gerwen in a 16-12 defeat.
His second defeat in 2019 came against Gerwyn Price who had one of the greatest games in the history of the Grand Slam of Darts, scoring an average of 107.86, beating Wright 16-6.
His most recent defeat came against Price again, where Wright, unfortunately put in one of his worst final performances, scoring an average of just 91.51 as he lost 16-8 to Price.
Only James Wade and Nathan Aspinall have scored lower than Wright did on this occasion in a Grand Slam of Darts final.
